Details

This rotating Nespresso Vertuo pod holder is built one at a time from solid Oregon black walnut or solid maple, using traditional woodworking methods paired with precision hardware. Each piece is carefully milled, assembled, and finished by hand to achieve a balance of durability, function, and refined detail.

Designed as a countertop centerpiece, the holder organizes 40 Nespresso Vertuo pods, with 10 pods per side, keeping each pod visible and easily accessible. Every pod slot is individually dadoed into solid hardwood, then sanded and finished by hand to ensure consistent fit, smooth edges, and long-term durability.

The smooth rotating action is achieved through a sealed ball bearing and a precision aluminum shaft that extends into the body of the holder. This internal mechanism provides quiet, fluid movement and lasting stability for everyday use.

Each holder is crafted from a single hardwood species per build, allowing the natural grain, color, and character of the wood to take center stage. Subtle variations in grain and tone make every piece unique and are an intentional hallmark of solid-wood craftsmanship.

This piece is made for those who value materials, process, and permanence—and who appreciate thoughtfully built objects meant to be used and enjoyed for years.

I am a Oregon-based woodworker and builder with a focus on precision, materials, and long-term use. My work combines traditional woodworking methods with careful technical execution, resulting in functional pieces that are built to be used every day.

Each piece is made one at a time, with hands-on involvement throughout the entire process-from milling rough lumber and managing glue-ups, to machining joinery, sanding, and applying the final finish. I work primarily with solid hardwood, selected for its strength, stability, and natural character.

I pay close attention to fit, balance, and mechanical function, whether that means dialing in joinery tolerances of integrating hardware in a way that feels smooth, quiet, and durable. Details that often go unnoticed are where the work lives.

I believe well-made objects should feel intentional in the hand, reliable in daily use, and honest in their construction. My goal is to build pieces that earn their place through quality, not excess-objects that feel considered, solid, and meant to last.
