Stanley #4 Type 16 Smooth Sole Perfect Wood Tuned Sharp

Up for sale is a really nice Stanley #4 type 16 hand plane. This one has a smooth sole and is flat. I have sharpened the iron going through the grits up to 8000. The tote and knob are in great shape with no cracks, chip, or major marks.

With over 76 years of life experience and a passion for woodworking, I’ve spent decades collecting, restoring, and working with antique hand tools, mostly hand planes . I'm an Army Vet. (1967-1969) and married with 2 children. I'm also a avid gardener. I have a degree in Forestry from S.I.U. although I only worked in the industry for 6 weeks. I'm retired from the coal mines and also the Post Office. I live in Southern Illinois near Carbondale. I love to hunt and fish. I live on 30 with a 9 acre strip mine lake in front of the house. My work shop includes a Delta Unisaw , a Grizzley 17" band saw and a DeWalt 735 planer. I have many hand planes including a very nice Stanley #2 type 7
