Beautiful vintage Stoneware Crock Jar by Robinson Ransbottom.
The size is known as a "high jar" and holds one quart .
These versatile crocks were used to store everything from butter to moonshine in the days of pioneers.
The sturdy stoneware was used for pickling and is still collected and loved for it’s ability to look great and work hard in the kitchen.
This crock is in wonderful vintage condition with no chips or cracks and only slight crazing to the glaze ( shown)
Farmhouse kitchens love these crocks for holding wooden spoons and utensils by the stove and not taking up much counter space.
