From the 1950s. D. Lisner & Company was founded in New York City in 1904. The company began selling its own jewelry lines in the 1930s. Lisner jewelry was particularly popular during the 1950s and 1960s, known for its quality craftsmanship and affordability. It was worn by a wide range of women and featured in fashion magazines. Lisner closed in 1979.
