Vintage Tonala Mexico Hand Made Hand Painted Ceramic Jug Folk Art Floral Design

This sweet little jug from Ceramica Artistica Tonala (CAT) can easily be used as a vase to hold your flowers or just to display on its own. Hand made and hand painted in Mexico, it features brightly-colored flowers and details in a blue/green colorway with two delicate butterflies in orange on either side of the top. Artisans from the town of Tonala in Jalisco Mexico have been producing ceramics since pre-Columbian times. The distinctive Tonala style blends indigenous with Spanish influences. Measurements: 7" tall, 3 1/2" in diameter at widest point Excellent condition: no signs of wear, no chips or cracks. One tiny extra piece of clay left during smoothing (see photo).
